Student Activities Center
Student feedback received during the programming effort for the Student Services Complex identified the need for a Student Activities Center.
This project is investigating the potential renovation of the existing Student Services Building to provide student clubs and student organizations with office space, meeting space, and event space.
This project is on hold pending additional budgetary investigations.

Past Month’s Accomplishments: The architectural team provided a draft report summarizing the final findings and recommendations resulting from programming efforts.

Past Month’s Accomplishments: The architectural team and the engineer continued investigations on the program to assess how it may fit into the existing building. A preliminary programming cost assessment was prepared to support the findings. The preliminary program was delivered to the Bond Team for review.
Next Month’s Milestones: The architectural team will provide a draft report summarizing the final findings and recommendations resulting from the programming efforts.
October 2020
Past Month’s Accomplishments: JK Architecture and Engineering focused on analyzing the student and user group survey results to develop a preliminary program and test fit of the program. Additionally, a phase one structural assessment was conducted to help better inform the architectural team how to plan for future construction.
Next Month’s Milestones: The architectural team and the engineer will continue investigating the program and how it may fit into the existing building. This will result in a preliminary programming report and cost assessment.
September 2020
Past Month’s Accomplishments: Released user group and student surveys in early September with response period closed in late September. Conducted user group interviews in late September.
Next Month’s Milestones: The architect will analyze student and user group survey results. This will help them develop organizational, adjacencies recommendations as well as develop concept test fit plans.
